Derrick Chan is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of IT and leadership experience within the education sector. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Network and Systems at Orange Unified School District, he leads collaborative efforts to secure and maintain the district’s network, server and data infrastructure.

Responsible for 21 schools and a leading voice in the State of WI for leverage technology to drive equitable learning via equal access to high quality technology as well as using technology to prevent cyber security breaches.

As Director of Educational Technology, I’ve been shaping our school’s Ed Tech vision since 2021. I love creating hands-on learning through projects, tech integration, and student-driven spaces. I led the LG partnership, designed our new learning space, and helped build our Innovation Lab. I also am a computer science instructor and run Girls Who Code club at Indian Creek School.
